| PluTeus serves as a Configuration Management Database (CMDB), providing a centralized repository for information about systems, modules, integration services, source code locations, technologies, and other IT configuration items. The application supports IT service lifecycle management following ITIL principles and gives teams quick access to strategic information about the organization's software assets. Developed with more than 130 entities, PluTeus catalogs the entire software portfolio and helps keep critical information organized, updated, and easily accessible. This enables more efficient management of IT infrastructure, improves decision-making, and facilitates the maintenance and evolution of software systems. The application is currently in production at ICI, demonstrating OpenXava's ability to support large-scale enterprise applications with complex data models and long-term maintainability. When asking Robson Meireles, Project Manager at ICI, why they chose OpenXava, he told us: "My former director and I were discussing ways to speed up development, as the projects we run always raise issues with costs versus estimates. I'd known about OpenXava for many years and proposed doing a PoC myself to test a refactoring and obtain measurable speed metrics to compare with other technologies. Writing Pluteus was very quick." "From my perspective, I compare the Angular + Spring Boot stack to being much slower and more costly to develop than the OpenXava stack." |
