Optician management with OpenXava

Mauries Opticien, an optician based in France, has developed with OpenXava a complete intranet for the daily management of their business. The application centralizes all the information needed for the shop’s operation: customers, service contracts, contact lenses, suppliers, and specialists. Each customer is linked to the contracts and lenses they have bought or are trying, while the lenses are tracked with full details such as serial number, date received, and date returned, ensuring accurate inventory control. The system also includes a list of suppliers with their contact details and login credentials, as well as a registry of specialists (doctors, ophthalmologists, etc.) with their contact information.

When asking Steve Blackmore, the person responsible for developing the application, why he chose OpenXava, he told us:
"I did try to create my application using PHP/Mysql but it quickly became too cumbersome and difficult to maintain. OpenXava allowed me to produce something much more slick and professional."
